U.S. Southern Command — Managed Access

Operational Context

Selected to support automated cellular managed-access capabilities addressing regional security and mobile operations.

Blind Tiger's Contribution

This program illustrates BTC's longstanding focus on deployable cellular security across multiple network generations.

Mission Relevance

This experience supports Blind Tiger's approach to early government engagement, using a specialized cellular intelligence and control layer that can operate independently or complement larger security and mission systems.

Historical Program: Mobile Assurance System

Blind Tiger’s earlier managed-access work led to the Mobile Assurance System (MAS), developed under a U.S. SOUTHCOM Rapid Innovation Fund effort. The program addressed a practical expeditionary challenge: cellular networks differ across regions, and manually configuring a protective cellular system requires specialist expertise.

Engineering Contribution

The MAS effort advanced automated cellular-environment discovery and self-configuration. Its intended operational model was drop-and-go protection for dismounted forces, forward positions and mobile teams, with a system that could adapt as local carrier conditions changed.

Development Legacy

This early autonomy work helped establish the engineering foundation for the later Drone Rupture architecture. The historical proposal describes the SOUTHCOM effort as a funded development program; it should not be represented as proof that every later Drone Rupture function was fielded at that time.
